To our Friends, Family and Supporters:
Your generosity and steadfast support of the Forget Me Not Foundation continues to overwhelm us. Thanks to you, we have been able to expand our reach to help more hospitals and families this year and train more hospital staff than ever before. Due to the success of our annual fundraisers, we have been able to use our growing resources in many different ways in support of our mission.
Because of you, FMN has educated over 300 members of the medical community. Our memory boxes and educational supplies are now in over 20 hospitals in the tristate area. In January, FMN presented the Labor and Delivery unit at Hackensack University Medical Center with a Cuddle Cot, which is a piece of medical equipment that acts like a refrigerated bassinet allowing families to spend as much time as they would like with their baby. In addition, FMN invited Sherokee Ilse, an international speaker, author and parent advocate, to speak to nurses and social workers about the emotional needs of families who have suffered a loss. These tremendous achievements were only made possible because of you.
After much thought and deliberation we have decided to dedicate our time and efforts to our mission of supporting families and educating the medical community. With that said, we are going to forgo our fundraiser in 2016. Our Evening to Remember event has grown to become extraordinary and will be missed, but we feel our greater obligation is to use your generous donations to further our mission and help grieving families.
Our pledge to you as our supporters is to directly connect your financial donations to families in need. We are extremely excited to focus our efforts on education, support, and awareness throughout the year. We hope you will continue to support us through contributions and join us at the next Evening to Remember on October 26, 2017.
With Love & Gratitude,
Dave & Melissa Barry
